'A minor hangover' @AuntyRach ....a likely story. You were under the table totally bladdered, singing #I Will Survive, weren't you? Glad it all went well Lovely pix @steephill. I know they're a r*ddy nuisance, but it's hard not go 'awww' when they're that cute I take it hubby isn't thinking of doing Le Tour next year then @fidgetbones Not the best example to set their children is it, if the fathers don't wear a helmet... The heavy showers/rain didn't materialise despite the leaden skies, so I got loads done. Lovely when the sun was out although fleece was required most of the time. Revamping of borders is going well. Johnnie Walker had Justin Hayward on as his guest on the radio. Ahhhhh Daughter made fairy cakes [ how appropriate ] Double Ahhhhh
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Fairygirl - no,not at all...It was Mr Brightside.
I just saw @Dovefromabove's earlier post. Blimey. Wonder if the lad accidentally 'released' the wheel thinking it was a brake.... Very lucky anyway, whatever happened.

If he hadn't had a helmet on, he would probably have been either dead or brain damaged.
I've had cause to speak to neurologists quite a bit in the past and one of them said to me once (apropos of what I don't recall) that he'd never treated anyone who'd had a cycling accident while wearing a helmet. Basically they were either (neurologically) fine or dead. It's the ones not wearing helmets who end up with a life changing brain injury.
OH was knocked off a bike when he was cycling in Bristol. He went over the bonnet of the car that hit him and broke his arm. He was lucky. And wearing a helmet.
Got loads done in the garden today - started work on an overgrown patch that's been bugging me for a while. Only got the first strip done and I'm aching now, but that was the bit with the worst nettles. The middle bit is mostly grass so will hopefully be quicker. Then I have to tackle the forest of docks at the top - I'm (literally) working up to that bit. OH has built the sides to the new opening in the wall and poured the bit of floor slab where the wall used to be. Hopefully we'll have something a bit more weatherproof than a dust sheet in the gap by the end of the week - it's starting to get a bit chilly now.
OH made dinner, now he's practising his guitar and I'm drinking peppermint tea and nursing my sore back and stinging forearms
Hope you all had a lovely weekend - sounds the rest of you have been getting on with stuff too.
Amazing photos Steephill - lovely
