Morning all/afties Pat if you're looking in Dry here at last, but I'm not holding my breath 'cos I've seen the forecast. It's currently 9 degrees here. The heating kicked in too, so it must have been below 17 in the house. How long before you chuck it altogether @chicky?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hubby has gone to our Scottish cottage for a bit of R&R (and chair repair, painting etc), so I've got a little space to clean up the house and start putting books into boxes ready for the move.
I promised the odd photo of the new garden, so here goes...
The neighbours are friendly:
There's not a lot you could call "garden". Yet.
The "garden" area is quite large, so I fancy having a wildflower area - thinking of the future when I can't bend to weed - and there's already quite a large expanse where the grass is sparse, it's in full sun and there are some of these:
There's an enormous overgrown native hedge on top of a tumbledown dry stone wall, full of birds and wildlife, a lot of grass, some sizeable trees and not a lot else. Bit of a blank canvas really... and a funny shape. I'm looking forward to the challenge, but may be looking for ideas before long!
Very best wishes to Mrs Steephill.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
