Cosmos alarm woke me at 6:45 for cuddles.Ā Quite civilised for him.Ā Ā Been up, sorting, cleaning, hanging up washing, loading the car with patch work stuff and machines to take back tomorrow, watering the polytunnel, cleaning the oven, trying to figure out Gmail as Outlook is not working and the PC fixer is en route from Namur to home.
Bonzo is doing well with his leg and is mostly 4 footed again but something set him off and he spent an hour trembling under furniture.Ā No idea why but he hears noises we don't and there are people doing a self build a few hundred yards along the lane so maybe it's one of their machines.
Now to write the president's report for tomorrow's AGM and finish a frock so my decks are cleared for lots of lovely patchwork.Ā Ā And some curtains.Ā And some trousers for OH. And....
Same place ... St Ives ... same cottage ... itās perfect for us and we find it so relaxing ... thereās plenty to see and do, some lovely walks, boat trips along the coast, four beautiful beaches, art and history, music and drama, lots of great places to eat and drink ... and plenty of opportunity to do absolutely nothing at all and beautiful places to do it in ...Ā thatās why weāve booked it now ... it was beginning to get booked up and weād hate not to be able to book it ... the reservation fee is only Ā£35 ... deposit due in November and the rest in April.Ā
With a bit of luck we may even be able to stay at a very exclusive little B&B in Devon on the way šĀ
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It sounds lovely, Dove, every time you talk about it.
We were up well before you posted but we had church and the BBQ to finish clearing up.
I feel exhausted today despite having slept well. After effects of feeding 29 people. Made 454⬠for our charities, half each. One is for orphans, not in Europe.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I havenāt had a chance to read back yet, but best wishes to Chicky and Chiclet for her journey to Oz. Thinking about her.š Bed time here. Catch up tomorrow
Not long home, and not read back yet - need a shower now that I've had a cuppa.Ā WIll catch up with you all soon. Internet was a bit pants yesterday, so I gave up. I wasĀ feeling a bit pants too, so it was a good pairingĀ
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fingers crossed it's all good for chicklet @chicky Is it a long way from the airport to where she's going to be staying? Sounds like a lovely day you had yesterday @Dovefromabove.Ā My day was positively idle compared to you @Obelixx Pretty easy walking, but grand views on a lovely day, despite all the earlier clag obscuring the hills en route. Glad I didn't go yesterday as it was the Braemar gathering. It was still hoachin' wi' tourists though - had to park much further out of the village. Thought if I waited here I might get a lift... I missed the Big Yin's prog @Hostafan1, but I'll catch itĀ later. I loved his Grand Tour programmes he did a long time ago. Did you see his recent programmes when he talked about his Parkinson's?Ā They've been on a couple of times now. My current quote here is by him.Ā

@Fairygirl she arrives at 5pm, which is too late to pick up keys, so has to spend her first night in a hostel .....(her choice, we would have rather paid for a hotel, but she was adamant). Ā So will be a while before I can relax.
Spent today in the garden, planting and weeding. Ā Did the trick for a few hours šš»
