Amazing ... Tim’s always been immensely practical ... he grew up on the Gower peninsula with ponies and wild animals and surfing in the UK before almost anyone else was ... if anyone can keep his head and help others to keep theirs it’s him. They’ve rebuilt their homestead now and helped their neighbours to do the same.

    Yikes @Dovefromabove :o

'I rather like this hole in the native hedge, which could definitely become a "window", if the farmer doesn't mind...'
Why - does he like to frolic naked in the field or something @Liriodendron? :D
You're going to have a great time planning  :)
Oh - and joking aside - I think the widnow is a lovely idea  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Well that was an eventful morning. I was doing a bit of weeding when I disturbed a wasp nest. End result, multiple stings, severe pain, one eye closed.
Dosed up on anti histamines and pain killers and am hoping I can sleep for a while.
Moira has strict instructions to check if I am going into anaphylactic shock.
How can you lie there and think of England

Hope you get a bit of rest and relief. Not much else you can really do  :/
Have you had anaph. shock before?

When a similar thing happened to our son a doctor staying on the same campsite recommended a high dose of Vitamin C ... he had a few of those soluble fizzy Vit C tablets. Don’t know if they did any good ... don’t know how bad he’d have been without them ...

Hope you’re feeling ok very soon.

  • Wow, Punkdoc - hope the anti-histamines do the trick and you start feeling more comfortable soon...

@Fairygirl - I shan't know if he frolics naked until I enlarge the "window"...   ;)  - though actually I was thinking more prosaically about escaping sheep.   :)

OMG @punkdoc that happened to the son of a friend last week.  He is only 4 and he's now scared to go outside.  Hope you are OK.
Glad Chicklet arrived safe and sound @chicky .  Hope the cold disappears as quickly as it came @Dovefromabove
@Liriodendron the new place looks lovely I'm sure you'll have loads of fun sorting out a new garden.
I've been busy sorting out the playshed and woodshed today.  Two car loads to the tip and room for a wood delivery and to store the garden furniture/cushions over winter.
Have loads of potting on and potting up to do but too shattered after today's efforts.  Think someone must be slipping me Pat's medications I could sleep for a week.
Hubby said he read we were going to get some lovely weather over the next few weeks, something about an African Plume.  The names they dream up.
