Morning Dove and Hosta š afternoon Pat š I'll have one if those coffees aswell please Dove! I've sent you an email with my latest pelagonium cutting flowing Dove š
Morning š. Woken to mist and fog š«......canāt see across the valley š
Littlest chicklet has arrived safely, survived her first night, found her new accommodation, made a friend, and had very little sleep (jet lag seems to affect her quite badly). Ā So I can relax a little bit now. Ā She didnāt mention a bumpy landing @Pat E, but I will find out when I talk to her later. Ā Getting good at doing the āplus 9 hoursā arithmetic in my head šš¤Æ
Good luck with the revision @AuntyRach. Ā Great potting area @Lizzie27.Ā Glad the new patchwork season got off to a flying start @Obelixx - sounds like the new incarnation of the club is going to be fun. Ā Hope Possum has settled back into Namur life, and that Bonzo is keeping calm. Ā The kitty transport logistics made me smile @Liriodendron š
Book club for me tonight ....hated the book, so this one could be controversial š²
Good morning.Ā Ā Big, heavy, black clouds to the east but the sun is streaking thru and we have blue stuff above.Ā .4mm of rain last night.Ā Generous.Ā Ā We like the darker mornings cos the Cosmos alarm is later but it's getting nippy now too.
Paperwork for me too today @Dovefromabove and tomato processing too.Ā Lots of passata coming up.Ā Ā Keen to get the tomatoes out of the polytunnel now but they're still producing loads so patience is needed.Ā Ā They were late to get going this year and will now doubt crop late too.Ā Ā
I don't know what's worse - flash flood or wild fire. Ā @Pat E hope you get over the drowsy bits soon.Ā If not maybe ask doc for plan B?Ā
@Chicky - hope Chicklet landed OK.Ā Ā We have some Ozzies coming the other way this weekend.Ā Spending 2 nights with us before going on to do parts of the pilgrim way to St Iago di Compostella.Ā Ā
Iām glad chicklet is safely here, Chicky. I didnāt want to let you know about the winds until I knew it was well past time for her to land and there had been nothing on the news about problems at Mascot. No point in worrying you unnecessarily.Ā
Hello to to everyone else who has come on site.š
Morning all/afties Pat - I'd be like you too. No way would I be hanging aroundĀ Are you maybe a bit weary and worn out from everything you've been through though, as much as the medication? I spent most of yesterday evening sleeping after my dire lack of it on Sunday night. Had a tiny nap in the afternoon as well [embarrassed face emoji]Ā It was weeing down all day so I didn't feel that guilty. Dry today thankfully. Glad chicklet arrived safely @chicky.Ā Good work @Lizzie27. Satisfying when you have a good clearout and tidy upĀ Wondering if @Liriodendron could strap herself to the roof.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
The biggest problem with āstaying to fight the fire to protect the propertyā is that by the time you realise that you made the wrong decision, is itās often too late to leave because of closed roads, etc., Fairy. Ā Weāve already decided that if it happens to us that weāll grab our bags and go.Ā
Absolutely agree Pat. I couldn't care less about a house or possessions. It's not important in the grand scheme of things, is it?Ā It's the ones who stay [despite all the warnings] especially when there's serious flooding, and then the emergency services have to go and rescue them. Do they get charged for that? They should.Ā
