I could do with a Tardis at the moment @Fairygirl .....Ā  I'm back from the garage ... again .... the car needs a bit more money spending on it .... again .... the fan won't work ... it won't blow any cool (or hot) air at me or at the windscreen .... Grrrrrr ... it's reached the stage in it's life where it's not really worth spending money on it ... I had planned to replace it in the spring ... that may have to happen sooner rather than later, but I'll have to get this fixed as there's not time to sort out another car before we drive down to Cornwall ... rolleyes I know what I want but I don't want to be rushed finding one.Ā  Anyway, it's going into the garage on Thursday morning to be mended ... then it'll get a stern talking to whip2

DS says he knows someone who might be interested in it 'cos he needs a car with a huge boot for carting his big bass drum about ... one thing my car has is a huge boot ...

I'm not in the best of moods so the Spammer got short shrift from me ...

    Ooh - I missed your ire at a spammer...how disappointingĀ  :D
What a drag re the car. They do become a dripping roast when they get to a certain stage, don't they?
I had a similar problem with the boiler in this house. Thought I could keep it ticking over until I did the extension, and do it all at the one time, but no such luck. Had to replace anyway, after spending a wad of money on it.Ā  :/

I know this should be on the curmudgeon thread, but since we're having a moan, I heard this on the news...

He's not any kind of 'hero', he's an a***hole. Good on the French government for sending him the bill.Ā
Since it's still persisting down, I'm off to the nursery to see what I can buy... ;)

Having a topsy-turvy day today. Started scarifying the lawn this morning, had sandwiches for late breakfast, finished the lawn then did some house jobs and just had a shower now before settling down with coffee for a catch up with the news etc.Ā
Car bother is such a hassle. I often give my car a little pep talk.Ā

Is there a wee sweary word now and again though?Ā  :D
I went to the nursery. Well - I say I went, but the roads were closed, so I didn't actually get thereĀ  :|
I passed the house with the hydrangeas [Limelight I think] right along the front,Ā  but the hydrangeas were all a bit sad and collapsed with all the rain. I keep forgetting to take the camera when I go there. It always looks spectacular when they're in flower.Ā  Very simple garden, and a large area on view from the road, but it's really beautiful.Ā
My old house is up for sale too - the virginia creeper I planted on the front elevation looks lovely.Ā

I never swear at her @Fairygirl - only the garage staff šŸ˜‰
First autumnal dinner of the season here - herby sausages with roast root veg and gravy šŸ˜‹ and leftover crumble later.Ā
