AGM has gone very well. Old members excited about the new start for the club and the new people very pleased with their welcome and all of them very pleased with their "cadeau d'inscription". We've given them two fat quarters in a choice of colours to use on future projects.
@Liriodendron is that your only car or your car? If yours and you will not have a passenger I'd just put the normal basket for going to the vet on the passenger seat, facing you and with a big plastic sheet under it just in case. Use a harness and lead to let her out for pitstops. You can try some Bach Rescue Remedy given half an hour before the journey to calm her. If you have a passenger, put her on the back seat so she can see between the two front seats, again with the plastic sheet in case of accidents.
I travelled from Harrow to Lasne in Belgium with 5 cats loose in the back of a Chevette Estate. Futon, cat rugs, cardboard boxes to hide in and a blanket over the top so they could hide. Litter tray in one corner and food and water in another. Dover-Ostend so 5 hours in the hold on their own because, in 1991, France would only let 3 critters in at a time. They didn't like it but they were all fine.

Finally got round to uploading the photos of my latest project, which I'm quite pleased with - and very thankful that most of the hard work is over. Just got to empty out the Asparagus bed (which is in a builders bag inside a crate!) and replant (hopefully) the asparagus into a bed in the ground where I think they'll do better. Then the crate will become a 2nd leaf bin so the lst lot can rot down properly.
Ive worked hard today ... an accumulation of papers that needed sorting then filing or shredding has all been dealt with ... I spent the end of the afternoon polishing my 😇
Now its time for 🛌 ... night night all 😴 sweet dreams 🐑 🐑 🐑

Morning all. I’ve been having a quiet time since I’ve started new medication which seems to make me feel rather weary.
Weve had horrendous winds over most of eastern oz yesterday but it’s blown itself out here today. Very bad bushfires in southern Queensland and northern NSW. My daughter is waiting to hear from a friend in NSW to find out how they got on. They were planning to stay and fight rather than evacuate. Rather them than me. I’d be high tailing it as soon as the warning was issued. According to the TV, the town of Drake where they are, has been hit.
Chicky, I hope chicklet didn’t have too bouncy landing in Sydney yesterday. Those winds were shocking.
My daughter’s friend has contacted her. The fire is about 4 miles away, but the wind has changed direction and is now blowing the fire back on itself. Fingers crossed. It must be an experience for his BIL who has moved to Australia from Scotland.
Good morning all 😊 Gday @Pat E 😊 glad your daughters friends are ok. I’m with you ... no way would I stay to fight a wildfire. OH is asleep ... I’m going to tiptoe down and make coffee ...
