I felt it was only kind to share @Dovefromabove. Not been a totally dry day for over a week here so we have plenty to go round It's also way better than 15 @Obelixx - it's 19 and no wind like we had yesterday. Lovely. I should go out and do something now that it's all drying up. The kids go back to school on Monday, so that's a cue for it to dry up properly
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
As long as it’s fine on Sunday @Fairygirl ... we’re hosting a garden picnic for a group of foodie friends from across the country ... if wet indoors!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Leclerc stocks Italian black rice here, Obelixx, must be a bigger branch.
Been warm and sunny today. We've been out, looked at 2 houses for sale in west Dordogne. My house has been for sale for the last year, it's too big and too isolated for me. Agent said I might as well have a look at what's on the market from time to time, just in case. I last saw 5 unsuitable houses in February and a load of houses I don't want on the Internet since. Anyway, the first one we saw today was perfect, just what I want, on the edge of a village I know. I fell in love, but I'll have to forget it until I find a buyer for here. May take years.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi folks, @lilypilly.
Take it easy. You can always get a bit of extra help when you are ready to lick the garden back into shape.
@Liriodendron a new garden, exciting. Don't forget the before and after photos.
No gardening here over the last couple of days. Yesterday I had eyes tested. No change but I have developed dry eyes so need to start using eye drops, at least I don't have to buy new glasses. Spent the rest of the day with Merri and Mabel, hadn't seen them for over 3 weeks as they have been on hols. Had lots of excited stories from them about Disney.
Today I've been to 'Merry Hell' with Secondborn and the boys, she needed new work shoes so needed someone to help with the children. Had a nice lunch out and the boys were golden so it wasn't a chore. It's been throwing it down all day here. Hoping for better weather over the weekend as I've nothing planned and would like to get in the garden.
The rain came here at about 1pm & it's been on & off since. Glad I got to plots to pick produce early for a change. I seem to have banjaxed my right wrist at the moment, I don't recall doing anything particularly heavy. Can't even lift the kettle off it's base with it at the moment, just as well the left seems to be ok. So light duties only for a few days I guess unless anyone has any miracle cures handy.
I'd guess Merry Hill shopping centre in Birmingham
Raining here since about 9am and it hasn't stopped yet. The runner beans are enjoying it even if no one else is
Healing thoughts to Punkdoc, Allotment Boy, Lily Pily and anyone else feeling under the weather (and there's a lot of it to be under).
Off oop north on Sunday (assuming it hasn't been washed away by then) - I've got a meeting in Manchester on Tuesday morning. It's a 5 hour trip from here so I have no choice but to stay over at least one night, and we thought we'd make a bit of a mini-break of it and all go. Meeting up with friends for dinner on Monday evening and taking some time to visit some gardens on the way up and back
Gardening on the edge of Exmoor, in Devon

Raining here most of the day but not enough to get the land drains running yet.
The lake is still about 6" below level.
