    Sounds a good haul, Obelixx.

My horses don't mind fireworks, when we used to have Bonfire Night they would come and watch. They are used to living outside with thunderstorms, planes and the Airforce jets. It was the dog who was terrified.

Not bad @Busy-Lizzie.Ā  I went looking for enamel kitchen ware to use as unusual planters but there was none.Ā  No old metal watering cans except one very bashed one for 30€.Ā  Ā Seems like everyone has caught on.

    Good early-morning all 😊
I dozed on the sofa for most of the evening ... now I’ve been wide awake and ready to start the day since about 4:45am šŸ™„. I’ve been watching the sky lighten and trying to keep quiet ā€˜cos OH has to work today ... but I think I’ll tiptoe down now and make myself a ā˜•ļøĀ

šŸ¤” it’s Sunday ... you’re all having a lie-in ... I’ve been out there in my purple dressing gown and with bare feet and my phone camera ... there’s not too much damage ... a few things have flopped in the wind but OH dashed around with a ball of twine about 4:30 yesterday afternoon when some tall things looked a bit precarious šŸ˜ Ā  It’s beginning to look a bit autumnal out there ... I’ve put some pics on the Garden Gallery.Ā

Back in bed now ... need to warm my feet up šŸ˜†Ā

Early this morning was the best day for the Ā Perseid meteor showers, just before dawn, as we’ve been shrouded in cloud for days I didn’t bother to get up and look. Ā Did you see any Dove? 4.45am would have been a good time.
    Ā
Devastation here in the garden, in fact I haven’t been down to the main garden to look!Ā
I bought a roll of jute to tie the wisteria, what does it say on the wrapper? Ā Biodegradable! what’s Ā the point in that.Ā

I don't mind Jute for tying stuff , saves you worrying it ties becoming tourniquets.

Old nylon tights (the thick ones) last a bit longer than that @Lyn.Ā

I did look look at the stars but forgot about the Perseids so didn’t look especially ... shame as the sky was clear Ā ... didn’t notice any.Ā

    Hi all.

Survived the storm, just lost a couple of large pots, but at least I have a few more crocks.
Better weather today, so hopefully showing BIL how to take cuttings, he is really getting into his gardening now.

Glad not too much damage @punkdoc and @Hostafan1
😊. I must admit I was a tad concerned about our big ash tree ... it’s grown quite a bit since the other one was felled ... if it dropped it’d reach our house now ... or the house behind, depending on the direction ...

    Morning all.

    Tipping with rain rain, cool.

Niece, OH and 2 children are coming to lunch tomorrow, camping in Dordogne, don't think I envy them at the moment! Wish they had come last week when their cousins were here. I'll have to find something in the freezer, but there are lots of veg in the fridge and garden.
