Adele would get my vote. Been running around sorting out mom's hearing aid batteries all morning and delivering them to the home.  Haven't done much this afternoon feeling a bit yuk and tired.  Artificial grass can get very hot BL.  Secondborn went to visit friend who had one and they couldn't sit on it/let the babies crawl on it as it was so hot.

Hope you feel better after a rest Yvie.  I don't like artificial grass.  Not good for soil organisms or the small critters and birds that feed on them.

    Evening all.
Just got drenched nipping to chippy!
Our 4am thunder was the hot topic in work today - many were up with crying dogs and children. I was lucky to have gone back to sleep.
Hope everyone ok - keep safe in the rain and wind.

The “weather” has arrived and is hammering on the west facing windows. 🌧 There’s an amazing rainbow over in the east. 🌈

@punkdoc wouldn't the UK list of singers (as opposed to the songs) have to include Shirley Bassey?

Shirley Bassey is allowed purely for that boot sketch on Morecambe and Wise.   Brilliant.

How far back are we going?  Vera Lyn?  Julie Andrews if you want someone who can hit and hold a note.  Can I have Lisa Stansfield?   She was good for a few years then seemed to fade away.  Joan Armatrading?

Funny weather here.  Gusty winds but no rain.  We have pale pink streaky clouds to the east and overhead but a golden, orange low to the west.  We might get a bit damp on Sunday but I'm not counting on it.

We had a shower this afternoon so I rushed to get the washing in and it has been dry since. Rain and storms forecast for Sunday.

All my favourite singers have been mentioned, but I haven't heard of several of them.

OH has just bought artificial grass to put on the ugly concrete strip in the lawn over the septic tank in Norfolk. It has its uses.

Family all gone except for son 1 and his family, 3 small daughters. They are off to the Gorges du Tarn tomorrow. House will feel empty. Have been in chaos all week. Loads of bedding to wash.

@raisingirl, Shirley Bassey is a good shout, my Dad's favourite, perhaps that's why she is not on my list.
