First clap of thunder just heard but no wet stuff yet tho the radar says it's on its way. Bonzo doesn't like storms, especially when they mess with the leccy.

Anyone fancy a minus 5c this morning? It’s bloomin’ Cold. Have stoked up the wood heater as well as putting the air con onto 25c to get the living room bearable. Long underwear under my tracksuit pants, etc. 🥶
Talking about salt in the diet, when we lived in Darwin, it was normal to take salt tablets in the wet season because of the sweating. I’m surprised that it hasn’t been spoken about in recent years. Might come down to my old friend Trevor Beard with his study of salt and blood pressure. He had 1000 of us on low salt/salt free diets for a period. Can’t remember how long, I think it might have been 6 months. He even talked some bakers to produce salt free bread.
I feel sorry for the cyclists in ‘Le Tour’ with these temperatures. We’re still enjoying the lovely scenery. Wonderful aerial views of vineyards and forested hillsides. 👏
Having breakfast outside, which is much cooler now ......will take a little while for inside to follow suit. Lots of overnight rain has helped too. Not sure I want to swap with you @Pat E, but glad the current spell of heat is over. I like sunshine, but below 30 will do me just fine.
Good morning all 22C here at the moment ...we had a lot of rain last night ... the roads and roofs are dry now and it certainly feels fresher ... last night’s storm was very dramatic with the house actually shaking from several thunderclaps ... according to a meteorologist it was “one of the best” he’s “ever seen in the UK” https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weather/dramatic-lightning-and-thunder-storm-hits-norfolk-1-6181890
... and the mozzie bites are still itching 😖

Morning all, I've changed my mind, with those temperatures I'd like to move in with you please Pat! Dove has knitted me plenty of jumpers so I should be fine!! It's fine down to 27 in the house with the windows open all night and a storm with rain, wind, thunder and lightening for 2 hours which I sat outside for! At least we seem to be getting a bit cooler outside now! And it's Friday!!! Admittedly I will be counting the minuets today! Take care everyone, lovely to see you pop in Steve, have a good day all 😊
