Thanks folks, for your good wishes re Gabriel and Mom. Both are still in hospital, Gabriel's breathing has improved but his oxygen levels keep dropping so they wont let him out until he stabilizes.
Off to see mom in a minute hopefully they will be letting her out soon.
It's raining here and has cooled down a bit, good job as the garden will have to look after itself today.
I've just been to an Anglican Summer Fete, bit of drive but they have a barn full of second hand English books so it's a good opportunity to stock up. Bought 2 carrier bags full, mostly novels. It was tipping with rain and 15° when I left here but it was dry there and 21°. 18° here and still raining now.
I had a bad night, finally fell properly asleep at 5am, only to be woken by the phone at 7.45am. It was OH to say he's coming back on Thursday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Just stopped raining, it's been wet all day and the garden looks so much better for it. Mom was much improved when I saw her. Don't know when Gabriel will be coming home haven't heard anything since this morning. Had a lazy afternoon gossiping at besties over numerous cups of tea.
Terrriblle news @Punkdoc. Hugs for you too. I really don't understand why nothing has been done nor, really, what could be done without starting a whole conflagration given that both Putin and Iran are interfering in Syria for their own ends.
Hope baby Gabriel and all the others suffering from asthma and heat problems can come home soon.
I'm exhausted. Been shopping with Possum, looking for shoes/sandals. None found so doubly tiring. On the other hand, we did find a pair of shorts, a top and some good cotton fabric on sale. She's going to learn to make a dress and I shall make her some palazzo pants.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Drizzle on & off most of today did get some bits done outside, glad I got my grass cut yesterday front & back but then mine only take 30-40 mins for both & that includes getting the planks out to pull the mower up on the patio to go round to the front!
I spent a lot of time and energy helping to get him elected [ first Labour MP this constituency has ever had ] and he has totally let everyone down. One of the reasons I am no longer a party member, after 40 years loyal service.

Hard to swallow that.
I'm sorry too, punkdoc.
I hope baby Gabriel will be out of hospital soon.

It is cool here. Low 20s. Possum is rugged up like it's winter. All relative, I suppose.
