35.8c in the shade here but it's OK as there's a light breeze and no work to do in the garden given how dry it all is.   Just been to the doc's with MRI results.  He says my knee is indeed worn out and crappy but I'm too young for a new knee as they only last 10 to 15 years.

I've to go and see a rheumatologist who will inject me once a week for 3 weeks, once a year, with the same stuff OH takes orally for his gout until that doesn't work anymore.  Wear a knee support for walkies and dancing.  Do not twist knee.

    Fine.

Hi everyone my my you have all been busy. So have I, catching up after being away. Lots of lovely veg to harvest now. Garden needs some work. Still we went to Barnsdale today on a whim, can't believe we have never been before, great place very well kept.

Thank you, Dove, for the article on sugar beet pulp for horses. A friend has given me concentrated lucerne pellets left over from fattening up her horse after it had an operation last year and the hay has arrived.

I spent ages in the supermarket this afternoon, it was airconditioned. Car said 37° on the way home.

I hope the injections work for you, Obelixx. I've met people with new knees older than that.

Think Wonky’s papa has had his new knees quite a while now ... maybe getting on for ten years? and he’s only five years older than me ...

We've been out in the garden listening to our hedgehog crunching her biscuits in the catproof ‘tunnel’ of bricks topped with a concrete slab where we feed them.

Now I'm in bed ... no duvet, just a sheet ... temp 21C ... much too warm for a good night’s sleep ...

Night night all ... sweet dreams 😴 🐏

    Morning all.
I reckon my bedroom was at 23C last night and I still had my winter duvet on the bed and the windows closed. Had a lovely sleep.

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
We slept remarkably well under our sheet with all the upstairs windows wide ... in fact one of us is still in the Land of Nod ... I may have to make my own coffee ...

    Hi all.
Not been on here recently, I know it sounds stupid, but I am feeling overwhelmed by the mess the world is in, and the thought of BoJo becoming PM today, terrifies me.
At least the weather is lovely, although more for looking at the garden, than actual gardening.
How can you lie there and think of England

Has UK politics ever seemed so grubby and self serving. This current shambles makes " the expenses scandal" look almost civilised.
A bunch of geriatrics get to choose from the worst foreign secretary the country has ever had or the most hated health secretary we've ever had to be the next PM.

On a plus note. I've just spent a very cool hour in the polytunnel potting up stuff.

Morning all.  Hugs 🤗 for @punkdoc .......I find it helps to concentrate on the bits where you can make a difference.  And good to see an energetic young lady heading up one of our political parties now.

Off to the Oval this evening to see some T20 cricket 🏏.  Thats if I don’t melt before I get there 🥵
