That will be a relief, Pat, I hope you both start feeling better with the end of Chemo.
34° here already, was 25° in the bedroom last night, 40° expected this afternoon. Wishing I lived next door to Fairy.
I feel the same dread as @punkdoc about the new PM and I agree with @chicky about the new lady leader of another party which I would vote for if I weren't an ex-pat, but at least OH is a member. Still don't know when OH will be back from Norfolk, waiting for his Xrays.
I thought you were too young for retirement, chicky, or is it a change of scene?
Congratulations on your wonderful garden @Hostafan.
I have spent a lot of time with the horses this morning, new hay came last night, farmer came to clean out the field shelter and put the new hay in it. The old hay, supplied by that farmer was pretty rubbishy so horses didn't finish it. The new hay is lovely. Hannah can't keep her teeth off it. The old boy likes his fattening food.
Daughter is coming this afternoon with her 2 children, boy and girl, must get on with their bedrooms, meant to have done them by now.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad he likes it @Busy-Lizzie ... hopefully you’ll see the difference quite soon. And good hay will help too ... there’s such a difference between hay that’s okay and the really good stuff. 😊

Hi folks, haven't posted on here for a while, find it difficult to keep up with all the nanna duties I have. Have more time to myself at the moment as First and Secondborn are teachers so don't work as much during the school holiday. Firstborn and family are at Disney/Dominican Republic at the moment for three weeks. I've decided to only go to Turkey for one week this year, though hubby is going for 3, will catch up with him for the last week of his hols. I've been potting up some foxgloves this morning and will be visiting mum who is in hospital at the moment. She's fine, and we are expecting her to come out at any moment, if I can find someone to talk to about it, can't even get through on the phone.
Sorry to hear about poorly people, hope things improve for them. Hugs for Pat and Punkdoc (have to say the current situation makes me depressed too).
Congrats Chicky, you'll wonder how you found the time to go to work.
Thanks everyone for your support. I know it’s just me, but we will get there eventually . He has his appointment in a couple of weeks for the scans to see if the chemo has done it’s job. More treading water.😳
