It very gentle indoor tennis @obelixx ... we’ve all got ‘knees’ or hips or hearts but we are kind to each other and allow us all to play to our strengths rather than our weaknesses. 😊

I hope I'm right as well @Busy-Lizzie, but at least I'm willing to let Boris have a try and no, the Europeans at the top of the EU are NOT our friends and never have been.

@Lizzie27 Boris is known to have lied when he was a journalist and is known to have lied about the money the UK sends to the EU and many other things and made somemajor bad decisions as London mayor.  He is hopeless with detail which is really bad if you're a UK/Iranian woman in Tehran and farcical if you're a kipper smoker or eater.

The UK has had its share of people at the top of the EU and at all the levels below in the commission, parliament and council.   They got it but the politicians at home never did and never engaged - at all levels.  Missed opportunities.  EU officials are, quite rightly and not surprisingly, working to protect the interests of the 27 countries they represent.

I'm past caring about what happens to the UK and the pople who voted Brexit but I do very much worry about the 48% who didn't, the Brits abroad who had no vote and UK youth whose future will now be so very limited in terms of easy access to jobs, experience, travel, exchanges.

Nor am I, even though technically I'm an ex-pat. My heart has always been in the UK. Apart from that, I'm with Obelixx.

Boris talks about how much the British want Brexit, well 48% of them didn't, nor 62% of the Scottish, nor did most of the ex-pats, like me, who couldn't vote.
