Sorry to hear about that, must be dreadful not knowing what you will find each time you go.
It's a real shame. Burnt down sheds are not a good thing we had one here that burnt down by accident. It contained chemicals and soil was contaminated. Has led to the whole area being dug out for a patio.
Terrible vandalism , unfortunately we had this problem a few years ago , the Police took it really seriously , the culprits where found but not sufficient evidence for a Court Case We installed Blue Tooth CCTV and have had no more problems since , hopefully it will not happen again ?
Well @Gardengirl.. and @Allotment Boy that unknown fruit has ripened, and I'm still non the wiser! Looks redder on here, but is actually much darker almost black.
@purplerallim it's a Loganberry ready when that dark colour my mum loves them
Well the shed fire areas have well been cleared up by lots of people - it went to car park yesterday big pile then today moved to the corner plot that is deemed no longer useable - sure they should of took to tip - but guess site rep said to committee member that was helping as her friend put it on that plot - she has been given lots of plants today as well as funds being raised as well for her. She already has plans for different things
I strimmed plot next to mine with plot holder permission as she is in Poland after just having a baby I messaged her about shed break ins and found out wont be back for a while, Did not want the weed seeds coming my plot way
Purplerallim , must be one of those Rasberry crosses , we have a Jostaberry Bush at allotment , a cross Between Blackcurrant & Blackberry , makes fabulous jam but very rigours, needs hard pruning every year Good morning at plot , harvested , green & red Gooseberrys , Jostaberries , red & black currants , courgettes , Rhubard for friends and pulled up my broad beans , a busy afternoon Hoping to go there tomorrow to tidy up beds and dig a few more onions up for drying and leave o/h making jam at home Happy gardening
Yes loganberry is a cross between raspberry & blackberry they tend to ripen between the the two so very useful and distinctive taste too. Shame about the vandalism, I almost dare not say it but we haven't had any problems recently, it seems to go in waves, you just get a bad set of youths that seem to want to do this sort of thing. Never understood it even when I was that age myself. Good session at the plot today except that it's STILL TOO DRY no substantive rain here for over a week keep getting dribs & drabs but not enough to do any good.
