Finally finished car park stone pile number 2 probably 2 tonnes worth minus the bits people took glad that is done - taken up a lot of evenings, even though I did not volunteer to do it ended up in end so it was done and out the way, so cars could park there and better car park
Busy again up allootment lots of people about - Wednesday was like a weekend soo busy, Today on plot sowed some parsnips today and planted out celery plants - sown last year not sure if they will do anything, chickens on lockdown this week in house and run and outside run as getting wormed using pellets with stuff in - like normal food they eat - they just can't have treats as it interfers with worming pellets.
Yesterday made a pea cake out of co-op free mag changed filling though - taste really nice
Hello all , Gardengirl I bet your pleased car park finished
Went to plot yesterday morning , o/h put some seeds in and I sorted out my wood pile , got enough to make some cages , going up tomorrow to stain the wood Few jobs in Garden today
Yes GWRS feel pleased as it would of been left for a long time if the person who we found out volunteered to do the car park
A while back as when we asked to the site rep who was going to do it after stones were delivered just incase council doing it he said another plot holders name near my plot but said after he is out isolation, - only seen him in the last few weeks and seems not to even care about anything off his plot - only goes to do his plot and of course to to other plot holder near by - not us so much
sowed some seeds today beetroot, spinach and wildflower on plot
Purplerallim , hello , onions & shallots we put sets out in the Autumn and normally do ok Spring onions I put some seed under a clouches early winter and are doing well Last year all the beetroot got nibbled , we can only think it was mice 🐁 , never happened before Off to plot shortly lots of odd jobs to do
Tried beets for two years and both bolted.🙄 winter onions are still sat there looking like spring onions, but they are not in the way so am just leaving them.
Tough afternoon, putting in a new strawberry bed meant removing a very old and neglected bog garden. As we have clay, it was wet claggy and hard work. Just to add to the fun a ton of spoils had been dumped over the top of the old liner from another area we cleared earlier in the year. Not sure how my son and I did it all in a day, but we ended up with something that is beginning to look like the start of a new bed and the liner completely out of the ground.
Morning was a bit easier, bit of hoeing and pleased to see the first early spuds are starting to poke their heads up out of the soil, think they went in 19 days ago.
Forecast is rain for tonight, have to see if it is still going in the morning, if so I think my body will welcome the rest after today!

Propagator at 14 days after sowing. Noticed this morning a couple of tubes on the light bank are not working, hope I can order some easily.
Off to get some muck for new strawberry beds today. Will leave the digging until Monday, it is forecast to be a lot cooler.
Have a nice weekend.
