Did you get your plot @tlchimera ?

I feel a bit frustrated as I can see all that needs doing in the garden, but can't do it.😖
Did manage,  with the hubby doing all the leg work/lifting, to plant the carrot and beetroot seeds under the closhe,  and plant two trays of spring onion starts into tubs ( I like to grow them that way with my lack of space), but even that little put me to sleep for an hour.🙄
I can't wait to get this operation over, so I might get back to some gardening end of May.🙄

Hoping to get to the plot tomorrow. It's the one day least likely to rain over Easter

I have been to the plots every day this week.  I  am paying the price for too many short visits,  and a week away at a critical time. Lots of "bits" of digging, rough edges, areas where the grass paths had encroached etc. Removed the last of the brassicas that had all gone to flower, dismantled the cage ready for re-assembly, moving it to the 1/2 plot this year. Planted 2nd early spuds, Charlotte and Spunta also on the half plot. So with the winter onions already there that's the half virtually full. Did quite a lot of watering too as though it's damp underneath if you dig the top 3-4 inches is quite dry. Some Asparagus ready but must resist taking too much as it's only the 2nd year for this bed. Broad Beans, responded to watering,  looks like we might get some in the next couple of weeks. Arms ,shoulders & back all protesting now. Might have to think seriously about raised beds in future.
    AB Still learning

Allotment boy, I'm sure you'll catch up.

I can only manage one day at the weekend at present but am developing some strategies to keep the weeds at bay and have a lot of perienial planting.

I rested a bed last year, covered it in muck and tHe soil is so much better.

Re-potted the tomatoes and cucumbers,  they even need support now as they have caught up with their late start.
Planted some radishes,  filled in the spaces with the strawberry plants from runners from last season.
Came in, had lunch, and fell asleep for an hour, I just have no energy, do hope this operation goes ahead in nine days.
