Funnily enough just been in the dark conservatory watching the storm, and saw bats swooping across the garden @GWRS

Hedgehogs are faster than you think -  well quick running from the tap to a plot only slowed near us cause of noise
Strimmed bit more plot well around off the paths, bit of shed roof measuring for wood and plastic sheeting

You got the storm then nothing here yet

Checked the Markies variety of potatoes today, this is the first.

    307g
Pulled a few spring onions, cut back the cherry a little, and pulled a handful of carrots. Steadily picking tomatoes ( no cherry ones this year)
Tossed the courgettes plants as really yuk, wouldn't want to eat anything off them!

Purplerallim , good size potato 🥔, been to allotment this afternoon, looks like my main crop of potatoes want digging up , much earlier than usual
Picked a nice cabbage 🥬, carrots , spring onion ( not many left now ) and 2 small containers of blue berries/ blackberries
    O/H burnt all the Pruning’s
    And of course watered
Happy gardening in this nice weather

Didn't try any of the courgettes @Gardengirl.. as both plants were covered in white mould, black with blackfly ( its proving to be a bad year for them) one plant was only growing male flowers and the other had fruit but looked mis-shapen and inedible.

@purplerallim I agree blackfly are a real menace this year, my pots are quite big this year too. Sorry if I am repeating myself but the only thing that's late this year is tomatoes. We should be in full flow, and picking plenty but they are proving very reluctant to ripen. I have had the odd 2-3 here & there but normally I would have been picking loads from the end of June onwards. It must be the weather as most of the people on our plots are in the same position.
