Wilkos are very good value for gardening products, went to the plot yesterday to harvest lettuce, tomatoes, sweetcorn and courgettes. Had to replace three kale plants which had been munched and managed to get a row of leeks into the ground. The sweetcorn was very juicy but still a bit green so maybe by next week they will be perfect.

Mr. Vine Eye that looks a good plot nice lot to tackle

Alotment show today entered a few things flowers one lot of veg and photos got 1st for my scarecrow and a rosette, 2nd for a photo landscape of the lavender field we went to, - sticker on entry card and a 3rd for my perennials 2 varieties 3 stems of each, got nothing for gladioli flowers and veg collection glad about scarecrow picture only one entered for that

Been doing lots on plot building chicken house and run digging down to put netting in nice day off today as sores on hands bit blistered as having to whack down soil bit clay like after a spade down to get deep enough for wire

Have found what we think is asbestos pipe down under ground my dad said when I showed it to him at home  so will use a mask to dig up rest to remove hard going getting it out
