My guess leaf blister aphid shouldn't cause too much damage to fruit.

Typically the hottest day of the year so far & I end up doing a heavy job, did the last bit of rotavating.  I have  just about caught up now, just about in time as it's turning hot so we will be needing to water  everything soon, rather than just the newly planted things.  I  am trying to grow things a bit tougher this year.  Plants are getting well watered in but then left as long as possible before watering again. Hoping this will make them  send the roots deeper to get water from below.

@Allotment Boy I wondered how you allotmentteers managed the watering situation when it gets hot.
My raised beds with pure homemade compost over soil are definitely standing up to the dry better than my original soil filled beds.

Not much action on my veg plot apart from weeding and watering. I'm picking chard and perpetual spinach like fury, I'd no idea it could produce such vast quantities. Peas are yet to show pods but the broad beans are due a harvest any day. Charlotte potatoes are yielding really well and taste great.

More carrots to sow today after the rocket which bolted the instant we had hot weather.

We are lucky at our site we have plenty of stand pipes,  but typically some people abuse it & water constantly.  There are lots of other sites around that have very limited or even no provision.
You are getting more than I am the only harvest I have is Asparagus,  and Rhubarb,  though I am picking salad, from pots at home. It's all going to  come at once this year.

Strange last year we had a very wet winter/spring but when it got hot in April the ground dried out very quickly, this year we had a very wet May but even with this hot weather the ground is still very wet just under the surface.
