Hello Gardengirl , I too spent day at allotment and it was a lovely day
Main jobs was to tidy my strawberry bed and put some mulch on paths plus lots of little jobs
I’m in the U3A and all meetings and visits cancelled until further notice from today , looks like allotment will be immaculate by the time this is all finished
    Keep safe

Allotment this morning to plant my pea and broad bean plants, the soil is still very wet but as it was dug when I lifted the spuds last year it just needed a go over with the hand cultivator, just need to get the shallots and garlic plants in tomorrow morning before the forecast rain arrives. At last it feels as if I'm getting somewhere.

My conservatory is now a greenhouse. 😁
The lettuce was up in two days, the rest are just peeking through.
Tomatoes (black cherry, roma and Alicante) red spring onions, and speedo carrots.
Potatoes chitting pentland javelin and markies.
Dahlia mixed, sweetpeas horizon and old fashioned ( seed saved from last year) and Spencer assorted.  No sign yet of the Aubergine.
Just today planted cucumbers passandra mini and marketmore

Managed a morning on the plot planted some Broad beans I had raised in modules & did a lot of grass strimming. Would normally have used the mower on the paths/ grass roads but it had got too long. I used a wheeled strimmer much easier than the ones on a hraness.

Well just found out the open garden for the station garden end of March has now been cancelled
Went to plot today got 5 lots of fruit in pots planted 2x blackberries, 2x blackcurrants and a grape green seedless,  few more bits to get planted - they are all around the sides of my plot along infront of the pallet fence - few people there today
GWRS lots of allotment time that good - still lots to do on mine

Managed to get shallots and garlic plants in to the ground before the drizzle started, looking at the forecast on the BBC it looks like it could be dry enough to get the spuds in next week I need a couple of days, though the forecast has a habit of changing when I make plans to do something.
