Why not get up a petition to repeat GH Gardener’s World and AT How to Garden series to send to the BBC? The struggle for fresh programming is only going to get worse and so many people in lockdown are now getting into gardening. I think the petition would have to catch a wider audience than just GW forum members, so I don’t know what social media would be appropriate or how one would do it as I’m not that technologically savvy, but happy to sign if someone sends me a link!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
The thyme bit made me decide to appropriate a piece of OH's long list pump and bowl project and fill it will thymes,. Bought two today and just need a golden one now. I list one this winter
I enjoyed most of the show and the jungly garden is wonderful but not achievable for me sadly in this exposed and windy area.
It can't be easy trying to film it on your own, setting up the different camera shots, making sure the sound is okay etc. Basically he's doing the job of at least 3 other people (l suspect probably more), while still trying to present. I think Adam Frost had his son using the camera (l may be wrong), l don't know if Monty's wife is helping out. Rachel's piece was pretty slick.
It's not the filming that's a problem but the content.
There are so many people who are growing veg for the first time and whether novice or experienced he could be giving much better advice about sowing, pricking out, planting, aftercare.
As for the ornamental stuff, there are new gardeners for that too as well as half enthused gardeners who suddenly have time on their hands and need help with basic maintenance, pruning, what and when to plant - not an admission that his Paradise garden is all wrong so he needs to move some boring stipa tenuissima or introduce the Ratty dog.
And yes, I know Yorkshires can be fun and have loads of character but our Labrador and Wheaten terrier think they're rats.

I do wonder why some folk watch the programme at all.
Some of us have been watching it for well over 3 decades. I still look forward to it each week like I always did. Does not mean there is no room for criticism or comparison. The show has had a feeling of being out of touch for a very long time. A problem that is not being helped by the current situation which just highlights the issues move than ever.
I agree with @Obelixx, in that more basic and practical advice about veg would be useful and very appropriate. Adam did a small segment on veg the other week so a weekly update/reminders/tips would be great.

I just don't think Monty is up to doing what's needed for lockdown and all the beginners.
