I was shocked when I googled it yesterday to find out what had happened to the Saunders. I had not realised South Africa has a problem with Islamic extremists.
Judging by the comments on this thread I think I must be the only one who was rather underwhelmed. I really couldn’t summon up enthusiasm for most of the wild gladioli though the one by the waterfall was attractive. And when it comes to using yoghurt pots for seeds ... yawn, heard it 10,000 times before.
Frances and her allotment interested me, not so much for what she was saying or doing but because my friend has a patch two plots away. I kept on looking beyond her to see if I could see Nige. I didn’t.
I watched it this weekend really enjoyed it. I was surprised Monty said it had rained for 24hrs! I can't remember the last time it rained where I am, all the water from the waterbutts long gone and worried if we don't have a downpour soon it will be another drought this year.
It's a funny thing, weather. I'm sure Monty said recently, that last summer had been wet. We have had severe drought these last two years. So many plants have died! I haven't seen anything like it since 1976.
