Thanks for recommending the Brunnera when I asked about plants to go in shade with roses. I've only got one but I love it already - the foliage looks so intricately detailed and the little blue flowers are great.
I wasn't so keen on it just from looking at photos online but in the flesh it's brilliant and creates a lovely contrast with other foliage in a mixed border.
..thanks for your comments.. remember to cut all the foliage off Brunnera back to ground level, sometime during summer... it can start to look manky.. and it soon grows back all fresh and nice again..

@Lizzie27 hi Lizzie...and thank you... but no I don't... I would probably have health and safety issues..like narrow and uneven paths... one could trip up here if not careful.. and suchlike... I think they're quite strict on these things.?...
