I'm delighted you have it too... it should be better known..

..view from my greenhouse seat.. photo taken from inside..

'Charles Rennie Mackintosh' is such a beautiful lavender/pink rose..

That ancient mariner is lovely! I adore pink roses. Would it suit a half barrel?

@debs64 … yes debs  you could manage that... although perhaps it won't grow as large in a barrel..  my plant is 6 x 5 foot,.. so it would likely stay shorter I imagine...

Clematis 'Piilu' is such a fun clematis.. some blooms are double..

..just love this clematis with roses.. and perennials ..

..more Desdemona and Anne Boleyn roses...

..the blooms on Munstead Wood are huge this Spring.. must be 5 inches across..
..this is a truly great Gallica-like rose... that epitomises everything about Austin roses, being reproductions of Old Fashioned types..

'Felicia' a hybrid musk.. if there's only room for 1 old fashioned rose.. this almost thornless rose cannot be beat.. strongly scented and healthy..

'Cornelia' is another hybrid musk.. near thornless.. suitable for rambling or climbing..

.first blooms on 'Graham Thomas' today..

..late May, difficult to  beat old fashioned roses...

'Kew Gardens' today.. this has been cut back .. see next picture for what it's capable of.

..an older photo.. when left unpruned.. a magnificent 8 x 8 foot thornless shrub.. I had to prune it for fence maintenance only..

'Tottering-by-Gently'... very beautiful single rose.. I have it upright on an obelisk..

..but it's new to all of us...

...destined to be a favourite of mine, but it has thorns.. 'KG' has none.. …

'Sally Holmes' is another single flowered rose to consider if wanting a rose of this type..  it is very suitable for shady locations, is almost thornless and the flowers reputedly last well in a vase...

I love conifers, especially slim green ones that fit into narrow spaces, in corners.
Like this Thuja 'Brobecks Tower'..  very slow growing...

Thuja 'Emerald'.. is quicker, and I trim the top.. and I also chop off some of the roots as they invade other plants..

..front Mixed Border... roses not out yet..

Marlorena, I love the way you combine roses of all types and colours with shrubs and perennials - with such confidence and elan. Stunning.
