I only like the spider form of Daylily.. the one that actually looks like a lily.. this is
    'Saratoga Pinwheel'..
    Scabious 'Perfecta Blue'..

..this wildish area with my favourite blue Geraniums...
here I have 'Eureka Blue' with Geranium himalayense 'Gravetye'...
Geranium 'Cream Chocolate'.. group of 3..
..most people tell you to plant Clematis as 2 year old plants from large pots... I have better success with those small 9cm pots you get in Spring...
..this is one I've liked for a long time.. 'The Vagabond'..  lots of buds to come out now.. it repeats well after the first main flush..

    ..thanks Jemula..

'Rosemoor' looks better in a vase than in the garden, ..I was contemplating its future but it does have a certain charm...

...leaf cutter bees are busy in my garden... I saw one earlier flying off with its prize.. lots of my roses are like this right now..

..these will be amongst my last photos on this thread as I shall be closing it later today I think... 8 weeks is enough and so just to thank anyone who has been looking in during that time.. and I hope somebody has found something of interest along the way...

    'Chandos Beauty'...
    'Thomas a Becket'...
    'Eustacia Vye'...
'Charles Rennie Mackintosh'... this is a very good lavender pink rose.. it blooms non stop even through heat and drought here last summer..
'James L. Austin'.. I've not seen this colour before on this rose, with lilac pink edges... strange colours I'm getting this season..
'Imogen'... a rose with exquisite blooms, which are unfortunatly short lived... they shatter after just a couple of days..

'Absolutely Fabulous'... scented of aniseed or licorice... healthy foliage, a magnificent shrubby floribunda.. 5 x 6 foot...
'Scented Carpet'... I'm delighted with this spreading rose.. very vigorous ground cover.. masses of buds to come..
..full bush shot of 'Mme. Antoine Mari'.. always blooming.. exemplary foliage.. not a trace of disease... and grows well in poor dry soil..
'A Midsummer Night's Dream'  I like this rose so much I'm getting 2 more.. it deserves a group of 3... I think it's fantastic actually..

..this yellow shrub rose is an unsung Austin... 'Blythe Spirit'  it's one of my favourites for ease of growth.. on poor dry soil.. and constant bloom even during heat and drought..
it's a mass of buds waiting to open... and I highlight it because this is an example of the success of shear pruning shrub roses [you wouldn't do it for hybrid teas].. I started doing this back in 1990 long before the Royal National Rose Society did similar tests in the late 1990's which proved its merit...
