  • Blue for you, ( which is mine) Rhapsody in Blue and the old Blue Moon are all more towards the purple spectrum,  but are lovely colours.

This is mine in full flush, a four year old bush
  • That is a Flamingo Willow , pink tinted new growth, turns white , then more green. That picture was taken last year before the very hot weather which it didn't like,  so this year it hasn't as glorious growth but hopefully will recover.
  • Still some roses flowering but the constant rain is somewhat spoiling the flowers!! Plus ignore all the disease !!

..all looking good Daniel... lots of healthy foliage there... as is this one 'Vanessa Bell'... one of the most healthiest of  David Austin roses... and still in full flush, although not the quality of blooms as in the summer of course...
..I picked these today, about half of what's on the plant, which is about 3.5 x 3.5 feet in a pot..

    ...not a blemish in sight..

..these arrived by Parcelforce this morning.. they were meant to arrive yesterday Saturday... this is the trouble with Parcelforce I find, you never quite know when you're going to get them...I was surprised they delivered early on a Sunday..
..these are from Style roses... first class roses with plenty of thick canes...

...I'll mention this here for our Rose community members, but if you are wanting some Spring bulbs to plant amongst your roses or wherever... I can recommend Anglia Bulb Co. of Colchester... I got some great bulbs from them the other day.. every one perfect.. and fast delivery... I ordered on a Monday and got the bulbs by Wednesday..

..I've also ordered recently from Farmer Gracy… they are based in The Netherlands, but good website and easy to order from... I won't get the bulbs for another week or so, so I can't comment on the quality... they have discounts going on right now... and after my first order I got a £5 money off voucher to use, which is effectively giving free postage as it's £4.95... so I just ordered some more...

Oh, that was so tempting @Marlorena - just ordered more bulbs from farmer Gracy, so thanks for that recommendation.
     I love your Vanessa Bell.

...thanks Lizzie, and delighted you got some bulbs..

Daniel... just 2 more 'Midsummer Night's Dream' to go with the one I already have.. I think it needed a group of 3...   I didn't know you had VB as well...  I've found it was much better in the 2nd year, as usual...

  • @Marlorena I remember seeing ur pics of that rose as It was a very unusual colour !!

Yeah my Vanessa bell is in one of the shadiest parts of my garden but did very well this year although I’m still unsure if it’s the right spot for it or maybe I should consider moving it!!
  • Vanessa Bell is another that I’ve seen at some point and liked enough to take a photo of it and the label to remember.

I saw it at Scotney Castle (Tunbridge Wells), late July, and really liked the scent...I think...there must have been some reason why I took a photo of it!
