That Liverpool Hope is such a gorgeous rose, I tried to order it but sold out...I must get it this autumn... although that looks a group of several they have there which can be misleading a bit...
The little pink rose in the middle is 'Pompon de Bourgogne'.. a Centifolia rose.. Monty Don planted one in his garden earlier..

Lovely roses once again everyone.. thanks for sharing with everybody..

I don't know which variety this rose is, it's growing in my neighbour's garden, and this bit is tumbling over the fence-right outside our dining room window!

You will have to join the very long queue after all the scousers, I suspect, @Marlorena!

I am liking Chevy Chase more and more. Sigh. Too many tempting roses and nowhere to put them. I have mainly hedges, not fences, a house built on rock and so not many places to put climbers apart from my main border and thats looking pretty full already.

I did wonder if that might be the case @Nollie …  the rose 'Chevy Chase' used to be found at Mannington Norfolk.. it caught  my eye there really standing out from a distance.. very bright strong dark red... but it is only a once bloomer..

The beautiful white rose is 'Mme. Alfred Carriere'... deservedly ubiquitous...

I'm looking for a rose for a west-facing spot against a garden wall, near our patio. No sun in the morning at all as it is the north side of the house. Still, it gets a lot of afternoon heat. My preference would be a single rose that is attractive to insects; 'Tottering by gently' seems to tick a lot of boxes. I could give up on the insects (there are a lot of other plants for that after all), but then I'd like a heavenly scent instead. I'm after a good habit against a (6') wall and excellent health. Recommendations will be much appreciated, as are comments about 'Tottering-by-gently'. The latter has not been around for long so perhaps that's a big ask. 'Kew gardens' looks interesting but its colour may not work very well for me.

I have both those roses... I'll be putting something up about them today on my ''Notes'' thread if you want to look in there later..

Has anyone come across these, the latest bug on my roses? I am not sure they are doing any harm, but don’t really know. They do spoil the appearance of the white and pale pink roses somewhat:

I think they may be the same tiny mud beetles (pansyface id) that descended on my allium atropurpureum last year which, incidentally, never came back!
