    Hi @micearguers

I have Simple life by Harkness a single light pink with lovely gold and red stamens. It grows down my dark side return in a pot and does well considering I neglect it horribly. so I think with a wall to spread against it would be even happier.
Gentle but pleasant fragrance and good health. Flowers from June until October.

Wow, Sophia (Sophy’s Rose?) is dazzling, @Jason-3. That’s an interesting Claire Austin, there have been a few odd blooms around this year, so don’t give up on her yet. Daniel (Rutherford) had a two buds in one bloom Darcy Bussell. The inner petals of one of my Munstead Wood blooms were tightly curled and didn't open properly, looked a right mutant. Lady of Shallott has been balling miserably. My roses have been battered by rain recently so I have put it down to that.

First on new rose Julia Child, with rain - I do wish it would stop now:

Re Claire austin it's every single bloom and bud... Which has 100s on it all a fairly deep pibk!! Instead of white

That is odd, was it normal last year, @Jason-3? Or is it a new rose? I think you might need @Marlorena on the case!

@Nollie it's into its 4th year and was fine last year. Although it's prone to black spot. I've removed quite a few of the infected canes 6 months ago had its usual mulch feed etc and it has put on good growth lots of growth and buds. Below is example of the bud colour. It's had a very light pink tinge before but these buds are nearly crimson

Margaret Merrill is such a sweet scented rose... nice to see someone with it..

@Jason-3 … your rose looks fine to me Jason... just early season abnormalities that we all get.. I had some very odd early blooms.. where they should be large and full, they were about the size of a 50p piece...  it's been a weird winter and spring..
the foliage looks good so I expect it to right itself... remember, genetically, pink is the default colour in roses...   so where we have the popular 'Iceberg' white rose, we now have Pink Iceberg, Brilliant Pink Iceberg, and Burgundy Iceberg... it's where the very white Iceberg sported back to the dominant genes...

My Margaret Merrill is only just coming out but the buds look very disfigured or have been got at by something.
