@Fire I know what you mean, LEH is my stone in my shoe, it grows and blooms well and is remarkably healthy given my conditions, everyone admires it, but I keep frowning at it.

    Some from today.

Old Blush which started flowering earlier this month. It will almost completely defoliate with black spot, looking awful, grow new leaves and flower again.

First flower on Cardinal de Richelieu - once bloomer.

First bloom to open on Champagne Moment, a Kordes rose, large grower, free flowering and good disease resistance.

David Austin’s two new roses at Chelsea.

Perennial favourite on Peter Beales stand - Chevy Chase - a once blooming rambler but flowers over quite a long period. Also featured on the High Maintenance Garden for MND Association. On my wish list for the next garden.

Compassion growing in a big pot. Just want it to grow taller up the doorway now!

First season with the David Austin roses I bought new in pots last summer. Here’s a Graham Thomas climber coming into bloom. It’s in a medium sized pot in a less than ideal situation, but has at least 30 buds on it. I’ll be moving it after summer to plant it in the ground and train it against an unpainted brick wall. But I really like how it looks against this white paint, so that’s got me thinking...

@Jemula thanks for identifying Chevy Chase, I was admiring that and wondering which one that was in the High Maintenance Garden. Also great to see your photos of the two new DA roses, although I am not really sure what they bring to the party, DA already has around 60 ‘bred by DA’ pink shrub roses and neither of the two new ones particularly excites me...seems more of a marketing/sales exercise than anything. What did you think of them in the flesh?

Some pics from The Perennial Lifeline Garden at Chelsea with their rose meadow. Some roses used are Open Arms, Narrow Water and Alba Semiplena.

Then there was this from Harkness Roses called This Morning which I thought was lovely.

I may have shrunk those pictures too much thus affecting the quality. Apologies for that.

@Nollie - Eustacia Vye was the prettier of the two, but the Austin on the stand which appealed to me most was Vanessa Bell which, to my eye, has charm and delicacy.  Emily Bronte was more appealing than in her photos.  I agree with you regarding both Harlow Carr and Lady Emma Hamilton.

@Eglantyne - nice photo of The Mayflower. I have the white equivalent, Susan Williams Ellis, which I like very much.

here are some of today's efforts.

Rosa Glauca -worth it for the foliage even if it didn't have a pretty little flower.

    Tess and Nigella

    Albertine

Deep secret has become entangled in my fig so I won't be able to move either until the autumn.

The mystery rose looking better now. I might let it stay!

    In London. Keen but lazy.
