    Royal Jubilee is great Daniel! Only first year but I've been very impressed. Healthy, and very attractive, fragrant flowers.

    These were first flush.

    But it has lots of buds ready now to start again.

  • @Marlorena I installed some more of those wire anchors we were talking about.

    Mine wires are attaches to vine eyes fixed into the house wall and the back garden wall, then the wire anchors are supporting the wires across the length of the fence.

    They're very solid.

    Where did you get them anchors from?

    @Mr. Vine Eye  .. wow.. very professional looking...  impressive indeed, and just the job for our purposes...

    @Voyagerxp .. it's mentioned on page 140 of this thread... but in lieu of Mr Vine Eye answering it's here..

    I picked up a bargain shrub rose today at the garden centre. Can anyone tell me if Felicia will be happy in a large pot,  the label says 1.2m x 1.2, my container is 45cm square. I might have to find her a place in the border but that might be a major job involving wholesale rejigging!

    @Suesyn ..lucky you! it's a beautiful rose...
    ...you can grow most things in a pot for a limited time, so I'm not going to put you off but for how long I'm not sure, you will have to wait and see on that..maybe 2 or 3 years... or longer with maintenance,... but the label size quoted is conservative... the true character of this virtually thornless rose reveals itself after about 3 years or so when in the garden it will be about 5 foot tall by 8 foot wide... yes it grows wider than tall..  but in a pot it's going to be restricted somewhat, which is a pity, because these types of roses are best seen as large specimens...
    ...but,... that doesn't mean you can't do it..  best of luck and do enjoy your lovely rose..

    @marlorena , she looks desperate to be reported now so if I put her in container now and then plant her in the border when I have made a space would it be better to leave her in the pot until this time next year.
