Mine are never quite as floriferous as those grown in the UK, if thats any comfort Ffoxglove!
Continuing with the hogging, here are three blooms I picked today - I like having a few in bud vases (otherwise known as glasses) on the table. Good illustration of the different sizes. Golden Celebration (12cm wide), Lady of Shallot (9cm) and Harlow Carr (6cm):
All in different borders I hasten to add - I don’t like them together, just grouped for their photo call!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
GC is lovely and a beautiful scent, I believe, but barely detectable to me. I like it with Lady of Shallott, but with the addition of the pink looks like a sickly Mr Kipling cake!

@Marlorena and any other experts. Is it possible to grow a rambler into a large sycamore? The tree is very large and somewhat ugly imo with its constant loss of bark. It does have a large conopy and drops lots of sap
A few things about that.. I'd be surprised if you could dig a decent planting hole near the trunk, but if you could, then I would only suggest a rose that could go up to where the limbs divide and no further..
One of the problems I would have there is its location next to a road, and presumably a footpath of some sort.. a nice idea but for me, it's not worth the hassle...
..actually, looking again, it seems the trunk may not be in your garden, and that you would plant near that Acer?... that might be do-able...
