@Voyagerxp … rather than put it up here... if you take a quick peek at my Notes thread, I've put a photo from last year of it... it was a struggle to train it...
It has rained regularly @Lizzie27 and even though it's against a wall it's out in the open. It managed through all that hot weather last year with no problem, it just didn't put on so much growth.
Yellow theme from me today... New floribunda Julia Child has got off to a really good start.
Golden Celebration really wants to climb, I have already lopped off many octopus-like canes. I am going to have to devise some better method of support in open ground than a few plant hoops.
A troubled Charles Darwin. Was in the ground in a too-hot position last year, is now in a large pot in a cooler location but the blooms are a very pale colour and not opening properly - the above is as good as its got so far...
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
'Julia Child' looking good... I do love its foliage... my plant lost all its blooms on the first flush due to a big wind storm I got here few weeks ago.. it was decapitated... so nice to see yours..
Wonderful photos of roses . Here are a few of mine. Some still not started flowering yet. Constance Spry. Does not seem to do very well for me. Fantin-Latour. Lovely fragrance. Any tips on pruning her please.Konigin von Danemark. Suckers everywhere but wonderful perfume. l think this one is Mary Rose. This is William Lobb. I reduced the height by about half and it seems to be working ok. Full of buds. This is Chapeau de Napoleon in bud. Finally this one. One main flush of flowers and occasional odd blooms later, sweetly scented but I don't know her name. Any ideas please.Thank you.
