@marlorena and @Ffoxglove thank you for the advice! I've added 'Simple Life' and 'Sally Holmes' to the list. They are all lovely ... currently I've switched opinion regarding KG and TbG, back to favouring KG again. Need to sit on the fence a bit more.
  • Probably my favourite rose, Lady Penzance is magnificent at present

Hi @B3 yes and she's amazingly strong! Can't wait for more blooms!
@Richard Hodson your aloha is beautiful I nearly bought that rose the other day but went for alibaba! Now got FOMO...
  • I am getting quite green with envy at all these pics. My roses seem to be taking ages. Lots of blooms in my locality but for some reason my 2 white rose bushes (maybe iceberg) still knly have tiny buds. They were pruned in march as normal but I dont know what's causing the delay. In previous years they have been star performers.

Sadly I have many buds, but nothing blooming yet as we've had 2 solid weeks of rain. And then this happened. But only to my two Therese Bugnets. I don't know if this is one problem or two separate problems. The leaf starts out mottled, then the edges brown, then the whole leaf browns, shrivels up and dies. The rest of the leaves not affected by this look very healthy. Any ideas? (Sorry about so many photos, but I wanted you to see all of the stages.)

Whole leaf brown and dead. I've been pulling off the dead ones and putting in the burn pile. Any ideas @marlorena ?

    ^that's a pretty little rose..

@emsgrdn … the leaf spots look like a case of downy mildew to me.. but I'm no expert on plant diseases... maybe a spray would work for you?... you also have some kind of leaf scorch.. if it's bacterial leaf scorch... you might have to get rid of the rose.. but I wouldn't know for sure what's causing that...
