Lost power over lunchtime, not because of the storm though as they dug up two roads nearby a couple of days ago. We have been expecting a power cut as it is obviously a fairly major repair but they didn't warn us like they have in the past. The problem area is next to the last big one we had a few years ago which they couldn't trace until it blew a hole in the pavement. Hopefully that is now the problem sorted.

Keeping out of the garden today as the gusts are bringing down some more debris from the trees we had done a couple of weeks ago.

Islander, try asking at the Pharmacy for Chlorphenamine, the generic version of Piriton.  Same active drug, usually less expensive.

Evening. Just been watching all the Parliament business. Mrs May’s hoarse voice is serving as a reflection of the state of the place.

My tree surgeon just called and is delighted that I am home tomorrow so he “won’t have to bring a flask”! He might have to bring a snorkel and wet suit though!

    Hope you are all ok.

    Morning all.
Last night was just horrendous outside.
I tried to watch Masterchef last night but what with chocolate soil, coconut snow, liquid nitrogen , 42 minute cooked egg yolk , I gave up.

I don’t blame you Hosta. It’d be noce if they just cooked good meals for a change.

We’re about to have a thunderstorm it’s moving closer from the north. Lights starting to flicker. 🤬 we might lose the power soon. Hubby has chicken & turkey pies in the oven. With a bit of luck, the astray will be done enough to hold together..

I’ve started having sleep problems like you. Awake until 4am again and then limp all day. I grabbed a sachet of lavender, but I think I was too late.

Thanks Pat, I've got an I'll husband at home and if I stay here I will just get I'll myself so think going out for a move day is the best plan! He has homemade cornish pasties so he should be fine 😉
