Me too - well stocked pantry and freezer but when I go to the SM tomorrow I'll be looking for golden syrup.  Just in case.

It is cold and wet and windy here - all the locals moaning about it at dance class - so I'm snuggled up on the sofa with a rug over my legs watching Masterchef and listening to the wind howl.

Glad you and Wonky had a good day Dove, even if not as planned.  Good luck with your preps AuntyRachel.

Congrats LG.  Hope it is only 2 weeks of jury service and not a marathon.

Cheers LP and Obxx 🍻. Such a relief :).

AllotmentBoy, that's quite some damage! I'd really like to visit those gardens (Enfield) but it's a ridiculous journey from where I live. Birmingham would be quicker! Hope the clear up is productive.

Sorry you had a frustrating time, Dove and Wonky -- glad you rose above it!

And good luck with the application, AuntyRach. I remember you were considering it, but you sound quite determind now :).

Dinner's in the oven, OH due home soon. I'm hungry!

Oops!  meant to mention A Boy's woes.  Sounds like a lot of planting opportunities!  Hope your usual Japanese bit is safe.

I had Norovirus. Me and mum both got it when Dad was dying. We picked it up at the Hospital. It was the only time I wished the toilet was next to the sink.  Mum does have that configuration. My sister looked after her by opening the back door, throwing in supplies and disappearing again.  My sister didn't get it, and strangely neither did my husband.  I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

    Good morning all  :) Gday @Pat E  :) Brilliant news @LG_ 🥂.

Such horror in the news from New Zealand ... there are no words to describe the evil of such people. My thoughts are with the people of NZ, especially the victims and the bereaved and all those who will have been traumatised and saddened.

    Morning all.
Awful news in NZ - just watching now.

Hubby just called to say one of the large Ash trees on the street has come down in the storm.Quite sad about that.

    Have a decent day all.
