Snap Peas, Broad beans, runner beans, french beans, sweet corn, kalettes, spring onion, florence fennel, giant radish, beetroot, plum, giant and orange tomatoes. I seem to have forgotten the mini cukes.  I might have to have a trip to the garden centre.

You like beans then.  I don't bother with runners or French cos we're not that keen and kidney and butter beans are cheap enough in tins.    Forgot to sow broad beans cos I was distracted with other stuff.   There's not enough rain to support sweetcorn.   Will be growing lots of toms again and also cucs and fennel.

Kalettes?  Is that the cross between sprouts and kale?

Yes, I have been growing kalettes since they were called brukale.  My first ones were a free trial packet.  I put about 70 plants of  sweetcorn in. We feast through September. Runner beans and sweetcorn we have in season but go onto other stuff for the rest of the year. Nothing is as good as fresh out of the garden.

Good morning everyone. A lovely mild morning here and even had 3.5mm rain overnight.😊 and we might have more over the next few days if the forecasts can be believed.

Morning Pat. Just about to go to bed, but was thinking of you earlier as I watched the first part of a programme on nature in Australia. It was really interesting, with some great photography. It's called Australia: Earth's Magical Kingdom, and was narrated by Barry Humphries.

Hope the mild weather continues and you get the rain you need. G'night :)
