Very heavy hail showers, and it’s settling, very cold. The sun looks nice in between, don’t be fooled it’s 🥶. I had plans for today, but nothing to do in the garden yet, want to get in GH, there again nothing pressing and too early to sow any seeds.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Same here lyn. We had lovely calm blue skies late yesterday pm and a quiet night but it's turned very blustery again with heavy wet bits between short sunny bits. Flipping cold when it's cloudy too. Planning to potter down in the PT and sow some toms and chilies but then back to sewing. Should be sunnier and warmer for the rest of this week tho.
Glad you arrived safely BL. Good luck with the tiling. Had a childhood holiday based at Beccles many decades ago. Amsonia is listed on a few French nurseries. Maybe worth a google?
Hope OH is doing well Wonky. I don't think I've ever had Lucozade.
Enjoy the weeding Chicky. Somehow much more satisfying than dusting and vaccing.
Happy Sunday everyone. Enjoy.

Thank you BusyL, Chicky and Obellixx 😊 He's still in bed, no worse and very slow improvement but I'll take any improvement over none! Must left him sleeping to check in on the seeds in the greenhouse and take the cats outside. Transplanted self seed verbena between ornamental grasses, tied in honeysuckle as it's still quite blowy here! Glad you got to Norfolk safely BusyL 😊
Hi all. Moira got home yesterday and we have just been for a walk round the botanical gardens. Beautiful sunshine made the Magnolias look superb. Best wishes to @WonkyWomble and hubby. Also hope @Lily Pilly is feeling better.

St Patrick's Day greetings to all - especially @islander if she's looking in...
Very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Mr @WonkyWomble .
Glad you got to Norfolk ok, @Busy-Lizzie. Good luck with the tiling!
Sunny at the moment here but pretty nippy too. That's an improvement over yesterday though... we've had a lot of rain in the valley over the past couple of weeks, with the Environment Agency issuing a number of SMS warnings to vulnerable households when the river level's risen a lot. Yesterday, while we were out visiting our grandson & family in York, the flood maroon went off. Two of the three roads into the town were closed due to flooding, one of them for 6 hours, and train services were suspended until this morning. When we came home in the evening we had to take a long detour, then drive round a "road closed ahead" sign and negotiate quite a lot of water... fortunately, this time very few properties were flooded. I don't think there's anything the EA can do to prevent it totally - it's good to see they're planting a lot of trees in the side valleys though. Maybe we need beavers...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Beavers are wonderful creatures. Almost as lovely as otters. Don't have either here tho and the coypu we do have are not even close. Glad you're dry and home safely Liri.
Popped out between blusters to sow seeds. Cayenne chili, tumbling and cherry toms plus San Marzano and Green Zebra. 3 weeks to the plant fair with the tomato man so plenty of time to see what I need to buy extra or as replacements.

Hi folks @WonkyWomble has asked me to let you know that her Lovely Hub has been seen by paramedics this afternoon. They confirm that he’s suffering from a bad Sickle Cell Crisis.
They agree with her that he should’ve called them a couple of days ago and said that this indicates that he’s also showing symptoms of Stubborn Man Syndrome! 🙄
He’s had an ECG etc and has to take stronger painkillers , lots of fluids, try to cool down as he has a fever, and see his GP as soon as he is able to get out of bed and cope with the change of temperature when going upside, because this will bring on more pain.
Fortunately Wonky’s brother can be around tomorrow to look after him so she can go to work tomorrow.
Bless them all 💕
