San Marzano are lovely tomoatoes, I’m only growing Roma in an Italian cooking tomato, who knows, we may never see a tinned tomato again.😀

I know.  Grew them last year and made pots of passata and semi-dried toms in olive oil.  No passata left so clearly need more this year.   Green zebra are very tasty too and ridiculously expensive in the shops.

There's all sorts of advice about Sickle Cell management on the NHS website Dove.  Perhaps Wonky needs to hit her lovely OH round the head with it.  He's old enough surely to know when to ask for extra help.  Hope this crisis passes soon.

Yes Obelixx :) they do all the right stuff and he rarely has a bad crisis ... (this is the worst in several years) because he is so careful ... looks like he may have an underlying virus which has triggered this one.

His last GP was awful tho ... just not interested and would only say there was nothing he could do, he’d just have to cope.

Thankfully he’s recently changed to the practice where Wonky goes ... they’re a bit more clued up there.

It’s scary ... his nephew died due to a bad crisis not that long ago.

Best wishes to the Wonky’s - what a miserable and frightening way to spend a weekend.

In from gardening - productive day interrupted by a couple of lght hail showers.  Blue sky now.  Will need to think about ordering a lorry load of mulch soon 😀

Glad you have Moira back Pdoc...like you, I am not keen on being home alone 🙄

Think I will sow tomatoes this evening too 🍅. But cosmos and cucumbers 🥒 can wait til next weekend....

    Afternoon.
    Healing wishes to Wonky’s hubby.
Have purchased seed compost but been distracted by some DIY at in law’s (although we were rewarded with a chicken dinner). Off tomorrow though, so the windowsills will be furnished with little trays of goodies very soon.
Where has the time gone today??!

Dove - all I knew about SCA is that it isn't the same as iron deficiency anaemia so I googled.  That NHS website implies that each sufferer should have access to a team of supporters to help manage it.  So much for that old GP.

Busy week last week, next week looks like it will be even more so. Just popping in to say I hope Mr Wonky will be a bit, well, less wonky next week.
