Glad you’ve had a better night Wonky (( hugs))

I said earlier that I couldn’t see any frost this morning ... however OH said that in the early hours he was aware of the gritter lorry going up and down the road at the bottom of the rise which is a bus route and near a school, so probably some black ice about even if we can’t see frost.

Morning all/afties, evening Pat. He's a very splendid specimen of a tree  :)
Damp and murky here, but we had plenty of sharp weather over the weekend, with the snow/ice and wintery showers. Not quite so windy too, so it already feels a bit milder.
Only had a quick skim back so not read everything properly. Glad hubby's a bit better Wonks. That's truly miserable - for both of you.
Hope the Magnolia's ok, chicky. The advantage of living here is that there isn't any blossom to be affected by any snow/ice/frost just now!
Did Moira approve of the condition of the house when she got back ,doc ?  ;)
Nearing the end in daughter's room, just some minor bits and bobs to do,and box in some pipes. Took a break from it yesterday after wrestling with some pipes that needed hacksawing off in the old water tank cupboard. There was a small amount of swearing done.... :#
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Glad you liked the tree. It’s nice when the Eucalypts get ready to shed bark and develop various bark colours. I noticed that those few cool mornings we had recently have turned many of the trees. The pinoaks have turned very quickly. I love autumn. It’s my favourite season.. 😁

Bestvwishes for a good day everyone.

@Pat E I've head the whole "bark shedding" thing can be almost instant , and very dramatic. Have you seen this happen? or have I got it totally wrong?

So the good people of Wales received more from EU than they paid in and still voted to leave!!
    Oh the irony.

Wonky,  So sorry for your O H.  Not at all pleasant.  Hope you get proper support, stamp your feet if you don’t.

Temps of 2c later in the week, that will be 1 or 0c here.
Still not taking the plunge with the plants.
