Hosta, there are so many Euc species, that I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true. I’ve seen large sections of bark peel off on some of ours, but I’m not always out in the back area at the right time. Just find the mess next time we’re there. The whole 100 acres is covered with them and I’ve not tried to identify all of them. 😳

    Hi all.
The forecast tells me it is sunny here, IT IS WRONG.
Moira was surprised that the house was so tidy, she decided I had either made it so messy, that I felt I had to do something, or that I had someone in to do it for me.
    Love to WW and hubby.

    Afternoon all.
Painted Dad’s fence (sooooo fiddly) and then sewed first module of seeds - cherry tomatoes and mini sweetcorns. Sorted my pots etc and don’t have many module trays but have plenty of small potting-on ones. I now remember from last year that my windowsill opportunities are now limited by the presence of cats! I am reluctant to put radiators on in unused rooms as just had the BIG winter bill 😱
Hope you are all doing ok.

    Evening all,
Hubby still on the improvement route but it's slow progress, I'm going to try and get him to the doctors tomorrow.
Thank you Lilyp for your kind thoughts, how are you getting on? I hope you are also getting all the support you need! 😊
Glad you have Moria back Pdoc, can't believe she was suspicious of a clean house, I'd be relieved!! 😉so did you get some one in? 😀
Aiming to make a planter from some half pallets that I borrowed from my last job tomorrow. Got some first early potatoes and no where to put them! Yet! 😉
Have a lovely evening folks 😊

    Hello all.

Glad Mr Wonky had a better night. At least it's progress though slow.

I've been clearing an area about 2m wide in the border along the end fence. Not much in it apart from yellow lamium and stinging nettles. I've left 3 pulmonarias and a big clump of iris foetidissima. I dug up a very ill camellia, the soil here is alkali. I may dig up the iris too, there are at least 10 in this garden. Not sure I like them. Does anyone here like them? The soil is a light dark loam, really easy to dig, unlike the clay I've had in every other garden.

This morning we went to Tesco for meat, fruit and veg. There is a garden centre next door so we went there too. I bought 2 agastache, a red lily, salvia caradonna and 3 anemone blanda. Also a clematis Mrs. Cholmondeley, I have one in France and OH loves it. I couldn't find Tithonia seeds. Does anyone know who does them?

Tomorrow I'll go back to the other GC, they had a much bigger choice. Need about 5 more plants.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Chilterns do tithonia seeds BL and they send to France.

I've been to patch this pm but didn't get much done cos I forgot my reading glasses so no point going to mosaic class.  Went to the SM on the way home for a few bits and pieces and what do they have o special offer this week?  Huge squared fabric covered cushion pads about 10cm thick for putting on pallets plus smaller ones as back rests to make garden sofas.

Might be more fun than a potato planter Wonky!

Obelixx, there are some amazing things people have made with pallets online aren't there! I certainly want to see the results of the sofa please! 😀
BusyL, must be lovely discovering what's in the new garden and planning what you want to do with it all! 😊 I hope you will be updating with regular pictures of progress please 😊
I divided grasses yesterday and planted stray self seeded verbena through them, wall flowers from last year are budding, I've got some black night morning glory seedlings that I'm going to ramble through a black knight buddleia and I need to have a stern word with my sweet pea seeds!
Not to mention the potato planter!! Night folks, Busy day tomorrow!

WW - not making a garden sofa here just yet.  Just tickled by the idea of a fairly smart SM in a fairly smart seaside town should be displaying and selling cushions for packing crate sofas.
