Is it religion that is the problem, or the fanatics interpretation of religion?
I am not religious, but am unaware of any religion, which tells its followers that they should kill followers of another religion.

I'm pretty sure none do, but many have.

The rain has finally stopped here and there is sun.
Still very windy though, and the noise from the Beech trees is a bit scary.
I need to go and retrieve the door of the greenhouse from the field.
I am surviving my 10 days home alone, thank @Hostafan1, although I do need to clear up the mess, especially the kitchen where I have been seed sowing.

I think the Old Testsment has something to say about that!  Very blood thirsty.

One of my GH doors used to slide right off the runners and blow away, I discovered a small hole in the top of the frame, I now close the door and put a meat skewer down the hole. Never blown out since. If you don’t already have a hole there, you could drill one, it’s just in the top rnnner.  Maybe that’s what my dad did.

I lost a lovely pot of crocuses overnight then others in a mixed trough began to go. Found the culprit this morning -

    Cute culprit!

Hosta - Jihad is one of the pillars of Islam and can take several forms, one of which includes taking the sword to infidels.   As ever, such doctrine is open to interpretation by imams looking to make a power base and spread hatred and followers looking for an excuse to indulge in violence.   Christianity has had its fair share of similar personages and even peaceful 88% Buddist Burma has managed to practise ethic control against its Muslims.

As Dove rightly says, humanity will find a way to behave badly but religion has provided a huge umbrella for such behaviour for millennia and has not, it would seem, been the civilising influence it claims to be.

Weather still horrid and unpleasant here but not extreme.   Not fit for gardening tho apart from awaiting a delivery of horse poo this pm..

My seed order arrived this morning (two weeks Mr Fothergill!!) so I got my sweet peas in this afternoon. I did them in the kitchen too. Far too windy for the polytunnel.

What else did you order?  Loads of seeds to sow here, including some new ones from various sources, but not yet.  Too busy t get to the PT but plan to next week.
