    Morning all.

    Happy birthday to Hosta's Hubby.

Disturbed night. Son 2 rang at 2am when I was fast asleep. His wife was having painful contractions every 5 mins. 4th baby due 8th April. So I got up and went there to be with their 3 little boys while they went off to the hospital. They came back around 4.30am, false alarm! So I went home, couldn't sleep on their sofa bed anyway. They are having an ensuite put in so they are sleeping in the future baby's room, which was the guest room. I hope it doesn't happen tonight fainting-smiley-emoticon we are off to Norfolk tomorrow.

At 5am it was tipping with rain, windy too, nasty drive home. Now the sun is out. Wind is forecast today and tomorrow. I hope it doesn't upset our flight.

I take it his MIL isn't handy BL.   How long will you be in Norfolk?  Hope all goes well both for flights and the rest of the pregnancy and birth.

It's clouded over here again and gone cool.   Scruffy painting gear is not that warm as I need my arms free so best crack on and then I can get clean and rugged up.

Only 12 days this time, Obelixx. We tried to time it between the births of the 2 grandchildren. MIL lives 3 hrs drive away. I'm 25 mins.

Well, they'd better put her on stand-by.   Don't want your fretting while you're supposed to be having fun.  More cottage transformations?

Tiling and painting the kitchen, sorting a flower bed that is overrun with yellow lamium and putting in some more flowers. It's a very green garden, quite a bit of shade, I like flowers and that bed is in the sun.

Sounds like a busy few days then.  Hope you get the weather for it, and some outings too.

Hope the wind has died down before you arrive @Busy-Lizzie ... it’s rocking  my car this morning and triggering the alarm 🙄
Take a nap this afternoon ... horrid traveling when you’re tired ((hugs))

Hope all goes well with the next one, BL! The winds didn't stop any flights going into Glasgow, as far as I  know, and they had speeds recorded in excess of 60mph, so fingers crossed it'll be ok for you tomorrow. I think the storm is to be pretty much past the Uk by then too   :)
Can you get that online, islander, or can they not offer an alternative?
Got out for a quick hour walk/run this morning. Lovely and brisk and bright. I take my phone and earplugs as it has a radio. Ken B. announced it was Neil Sedaka's 80th birthday today. What a legacy he has left - some cheesy stuff, but some stunning stuff too. He then played The Hungry Years - definitely in the latter group.
The tear I wiped away was from the wind, of course....

    Thank you.

We have strong winds forecast for tomorrow. It is a problem if it blows across the runway instead of up or down it. Only a small airport.

Been outside trimming, pruning and clearing up. Keep getting rained on in between the sunny periods and the wind has been trying to empty my wheelbarrow.
