    Good morning all  :) ☕️

OH is making the coffee and I’ve been out in my dressing gown to put the bins out ... darent do it last night ‘cos of the wind ... they’d have blown all over the place 🙄

i really liked the work of that young chef Adam Handling when he was a Masterchef finalist ... his work really stood out as being simple and elegant with an emphasis on flavour ... I’ve just looked at his Covent Garden restaurant’s website which describes the food as having a ‘lightly theatrical touch’ which is appropriate for the location so as long as it tastes good too ... it’s all part of the ‘Covent Garden Experience’ ?  It’s not just about good food ... everyone needs their USP  ;)

Ah there you are Wonky  :D see you soon. We’ll have to buy your Lovely Hub a box of tissues and some Sudafed  ;)

Its our brains @Pat E. ... they seem determined to nurture our cares and anxieties even when we want to ignore them 🙄 Have you got some good light ‘pageturner’ novels you can keep by your bedside?

I’ve been waiting for the storm to pass. TV turned on again, showers done for the night, so waiting to see what’s on.

Ive always got a story by the bed Dove. I read myself to sleep usually.
    very tired tonight. 😴

    Hi all.
Woke up to a boating lake this morning, oh well, at least the damp borders may stay damp this summer.

Good morning all.   Windy here and cloudy with brighter bits.  Machine patch class for me this pm so sorting out some fabric for the next project and staying clean for dance class this evening.

No damp areas in this garden Pdoc but I think we'll make one for the gunnera and some filipendula and my hostas.  The ground at the beach end of the pond is like concrete so not suitable.

Looks like a messy weekend weather-wise but better next week so stay safe everyone.

Been out there in torrential rain again to retrieve the empty food waste bin as it was blowing down the road ... we now have sunshine, blue sky and white fluffies ... proper early March weather today eh?

@punkdoc ... think we should start calling you Noah 😉

    Ready for Wonky ... shouldn’t be long now ... kettle’s on ☕️ ☕️

I dont have a pressure cooker anymore, I have an induction hob, so need a special one, also my kitchen is tiny, open plan to my lounge, then door to conservatory, I dont have anywhere to store one, I still do a leek and potato soup, receipe frm a Daily Mail suppliment, also has celery and an apple, people say, yuck, but you dont get a strong overflavour from any of the ingredients, great with a chunk of warm crusty bread!Hubby who doesnt much like leeks or celery loves it, plenty of black ground pepper. Its his Birthday today, and going to get the sheet and 2 chairs out, then!!!

    Hello all. Evening Pat.

Hope the weather is kind to you, Dove and Wonky, if you're outside. So far today we've had grey and blustery, torrential rain (horizontal), bright sun with blue skies, and now warmish, greyish damp again. I've stayed indoors and hoovered.

Taxing day yesterday, at the hospital for most it. Good outcome though - let's just say today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I'm on jury service starting on Monday, so not going to be around in daylight much. Am trying to do all the things that can't wait until it finishes. Am assuming the two weeks, but who knows?

    Oh it's sunny again!
