Hope you all a decent night. Mine was OK for my standards.

I went to bed at 10. Very early for me, but couldn't keep my eyes open. I fully realised this meant I would be awake early. However, I was still awake at 1.30. I got up at 7. I'm still alive, contrary to everything you read, having an average of 5 hours sleep, doesn't seem to have ruined my immune system or sent me mad. It's been about 15 years since I had a cold. Have never had either a symptom or positive Covid test. I have never slept 8 hours a night in my life. I don't get up which is what sleep experts recommend, because I then go into full night shift mode, won't sleep at all,and feel really rough in the morning.

The first night in a week that when I did settle down, about 1.30, I slept till 4am, and then again till 7.30. Nearly 6 hours is a win for me! Hope it continues, I might then have the energy to do things.

The wandering minstrel was up and about at some time in the night and must have opened the kitchen door. Cue cats! I've had about two hours sleep in five minute sessions due to zoomies, arguments, kneading, loving and face poking/checking to see if I was dead! I am a pile of tripe and Mellors is coming with a chainsaw to attend to my unruly juniper. Great!

Got to sleep sometime around 4am, I think, and slept till 8 am. Ended up lying on my front, face covered in creases this morning. Might have been the caffeine, or something I’ve been worrying about. More likely the latter, OH is more sensitive to caffeine than I am, and he slept very well. Afternoon nap, I think. Dry and sunny here, so will get some gardening done today. Hoping I won’t become a regular visitor on this thread, very sorry for all you poor sleepers.

@Ergates I find faces covered in creases very attractive. I often look in the mirror and say 'there now, that's lovely'! 🤣

It took me a little while to realise you were talking about cars @plant pauper. We had a cat, Spike, who would gently lift my eyelids if I was late getting up.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I've never had cats before @b3. This is all new to me and while I love it, today is not the day. ❤️
  • If I ever lie-in, my wife will check on me, to see whether I'm still alive - waking me up just to make sure. Okay, so there have been times she can't wake me - but that's rare.
    Sigh. Yawn!!
  • PS. We don't have a cat.😺😸😾
