  • I have just been watching the news and it all looks a bit scary. I do hope people are able to sleep but this is a great thread if you can't, especially as @Dovefromabove is in charge of hot chocolate and biscuits, hope you remembered them despite losing the shopping list @Dovefromabove. :smiley:

    I am also really hoping the BBC doesn't send reporters out to the danger areas to show us how bad it is - doesn't set a good example telling everyone to stay home and then placing a film crew right on the spot. Sorry, perhaps that should be on the curmudgeons thread. :smiley:

    At the moment, the forecast is for the worst of it to get to us from about 6am, so hopefully time to get a decent kip before then

    The neighbours have collected their cat, he's now got a full belly and a bed for the night. Last night he spent under my camellia and was begging to come in at 7.30.  Daisy dog knows why he just won't go home. We have a war of attrition, he's been trying to adopt us since  last March.  It's currently very still here, calm before the storm I think.
