I’m at my daughter’s house. I’m looking after grandsons tomorrow. It’s no fun being shattered looking after a 2 and 4 year old

You should have done a bit of weeding to tire yourself out

@Wilderbeast Well I did drop off waiting for Jonah to come out of school. I always go an hour early as Gabriel always falls asleep on the journey. I normally read my book but not today. Good job I heard some of the parents passing by😵

    pansyface

What a great description. It seemed like a bit from one of my Inspector Banks I read before I turn in.

I was " with you " in the kitchen !!

You should try your hand at short stories....seriously.

I gave in the other evening and ate the last of the home made apple and rhubarb crumble and woke up 7 times with indigestion.

Big Mug of Hot Choccie just before bedtime .    Adds 2 hours to my sleep.

When we had a cat, we set the flap on exit only.  Our cat learnt how to get in by flipping the flap.  Cat burglars never learnt the technique.
If you have a reasonably intelligent cat,  they will learn after you demonstrate the technique a few times. They will remember  how to do it, especially if they're hungry enough.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    the tidy gardener

I had a Burmese cat called Sam who was highly intelligent and would swing on the door handle and open the downstairs doors and end up in bed with me.

8 years of smiles love and joy

Trying to feed him a worming tablet and putting him in a pillow case to de flea was one of the funniest moments of my life.

Even after having to " take him to the vets "for the last time I would see him appear around the door.
