Fell down the stairs - last 3 or 4. I wasn't counting! Doctor Google reckons I've pulled a hamstring. Lucky I didn't break anything. Have found a way to hobble to the loo using an upside down broom and not putting my foot flat on the floor. My caring husband has offered to get me a parrot for my shoulder.
Fortunately it doesn't hurt unless I move. Good job I'm lazy.

    Oh no! @B3.
Go to have it seen tomorrow morning. I mean later.

I don't think there's much can be done. It seems a bit better already anyway. Fingers crossed.

  • Sorry to hear about your fall, @B3
I know what it's like to fall down the stairs. Sounds painful.
Your husband has a sense of humour, but you need more than that.
  • Well that went well. It was as easy as swallowing a pill and sitting in a chair for ten minutes. The annoying part was waiting for two hours between. No need to isolate, except from children, so no need to kick the hubby from the bed! Back in a week for two more scans, and then wait for the consultant 's appointment. Hope this is all worth it! Absolutely shattered now as it's been a bad day stomach wise, especially this morning, wasn't even sure I would get out of the house for the scan, but things tend to quiet down just after lunch so managed to go. Hope you all have a good night, I'm going to crash now hopefully. 😴
Glad to hear that things don't seem to be as bad as expected. Isolating is rarely simple, @purplerallim

  • You really should get yourself checked @B3 as when I fell I thought I was ok and got on with it. Had a sore back and carpet burns but I thought that was it . It turned out to be a year of not being able to sit properly as I had damaged my coccyx.
If you have damaged your achilles tenden, it might need help. Take care.

As for me, it was the best night's sleep I have had for some time!

Coccyx is a little sore but nothing too bad. . I'm able to hobble about without too much discomfort but sitting down and getting up hurts my leg. I'll see how I feel Monday. Don't fancy trying to get in the car, though even if I manage to get an appointment.
Glad you had a good sleep @purplerallim

  • Our beautiful oak dining table and chairs left the house today. We can't fit them in the new home, but we've only had them 18 months. My wife was overjoyed when we got them, but in tears when they went. The person we gave them to was ever so pleased.
I will have to make sure that we buy a decent smaller table, so as to appease my wife. That's what comes with downsizing.
But on the positive side, she won't need to dust a banister again. Or carry things upstairs. Plus no attached neighbours. And more garden to enjoy.
    And hopefully sleep more peacefully.😴
    Me too perhaps.😎
  • It is sad when you have to let things go @rowlandscastle444 , I am a bit of a hoarder,  but it is also liberating too. Plus she gets to buy new. Not having stairs is bliss!
