Are you awake?

Hope the eye appointment goes well. Dedicated eye departments seem to be rather well set up for dealing with emergency appointments. A relative has suffered repeated partial detachments of retinae, always seen and treated promptly.
  • Thanks @Ergates , it has been a bit disconcerting to suddenly have blurred vision.

Hope you didn’t have to wait for hours, @purplerallim, and the problem isn’t serious.
Awake at midnight after lights out at 10pm. I’m blaming the glass of red wine before bed. Now, shall i do a logic puzzle or read my book? Decisions, decisions.....
  • Morning to all you other weary and bleary gardeners. Double vision this morning, which is a good indication that I slept poorly.
How about the rest of you?
  • Thankfully I went out like a light at 10 and slept solidly until 6. 🛌

That would be a miracle for me, @Dovefromabove
    😵‍💫
  • I do understand and commiserate @rowlandscastle444 … I am so lucky that it is ‘the normal’ for me. 🙏

  • Just back from the hospital. Had an hour to wait, which was really good. They said the same as the opticians in most parts, just explained it better. Now will have to see if the bleeding dissipates in the next 10 days, at which time they want a follow up appointment,  but cannot say that the large floaters will fade. Which is bad as they are giving me a headache.
  • Hopefully your brain will learn to ignore the floaters to a large extent, @purplerallim.  I had a lot appear a few years ago, and found them really intrusive to start with, but I was told that you get used to them - you almost "look round them", without knowing how you're doing it.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Thanks @Liriodendron I have had floaters since I was in my 20's, but this is alot more and they don't float out of my eyeline like before, so are giving me headaches. Plus with blurred vision and black spots it's hard.
